Media Vision and Medium UK Embark in New Partnership
March 24th, 2017
Media Vision, a leading provider of conference systems and professional audio solutions, has partnered with Medium UK Ltd, an established audio visual distributor, to supply the line of TAIDEN conference microphones and interpretation systems to the UK market. For both Media Vision and Medium, the announcement is significant: seeing two companies coming together to better meet the needs of the end users speaks to the strength of adaptation in a shifting industry.
The partnership with Medium, and Media Vision’s continued growth in Europe—three new European offices in the past four years—surfaces after its local presence was launched in the United Kingdom in August 2016 , when Media Vision’s Jason Williams, Director of Sales for the UK and Ireland, joined the team. Media Vision’s track record in the UK includes its global unified custom design for MFS Investment Management, including their London facility, and supplying E Ink electronic nameplates for global think tank International Institute for Strategic Study (IISS).
Medium—a trade-only distributor of interactive and large-format displays, projection, digital signage, connectivity, and more—was recently acquired by Exertis, a distributor of technology products in B2B, mobile, and retail markets. This acquisition places Medium UK in a valuable position: it can now service a sector beyond the traditional AV market, a crucial playing card in today’s shifting landscape.
Roy Martin, Solutions Business Manager of Medium UK, looks forward to the combined solution Medium can now offer with conference technology in its portfolio: “This is a new technology area for Medium to focus on, adding value through support and solution-based systems. We’ve moved away from the selling of one supplier, where it’s just about that product, to working with key partners on the complete solution package in multiple technology areas.”
The TAIDEN G3 Paperless Multimedia conference system launched at ISE is a fine example of these all-in-one converging solutions that will best meet the expanded needs of Media Vision and Medium’s customers. The elegant tablet-like conference systems with a 14” touch panel and array microphone option redefines the standards for what is expected in meeting environments.
Another highlight solution in this partnership is the TAIDEN HCS-5300 Series digital infrared wireless system allowing users to avoid the standard pitfalls of running their devices on radio waves. “Imagine all the wireless devices in a room, all of those things are using radio, if you could have a pair of glasses to see all the radio waves, you wouldn't see anything!” says Jason Williams “The 5300 system using infrared is a game-changer”. The Media Vision infrared system is transmitted digitally and is also unaffected by direct sunlight. For Roy Martin, “This is a great product compared to the analogue IR solutions.”
Multiple law offices in London are already using the TAIDEN digital infrared wireless discussion systems as infrared is a technology of choice to ensure meeting confidentiality and allows to combine and divide multipurpose room without need for frequency management.
Media Vision will support Medium UK at the technology event Plug-In to Exertis on May 11, 2017, which will be held in Twickenham. The event will host industry experts, covering keynote topics in various seminars. Over 80 of Exertis’s leading vendors will showcase their products and solutions.
